BEHIND THE LENS
I'm a photographer. I was born in Hawaii. I moved to California at a young age then later moved to Oklahoma. I was involved in a variety of sports while growing up, which invoked my competitive spirit. It wasn't until after my professional fighting career came to an end did I really pick up my first camera. Desperate to stay involved in the sport that had became such a big part of my life, I found a way to continue my involvement. Shooting photos of the fights that my training partners and friends were participating in was my new obsession. I had studied other sports photographer’s work and strived to shoot the shots they were able to shoot. With my competitive nature I've accelerated the learning curve in this difficult shooting situation. When I became aware of other shooting style and techniques it was much easier to pick up and excel. I have been shooting a wide array of styles and techniques since 2003. Today I continue learning and growing and competing with myself as well as my peers.
